Fix before launch
An error or the wrong destination
Correct the source URL or destination. A page that loads successfully can still be the wrong page for your campaign.
A final check before launch
Check where a campaign URL actually goes, what happens along the way and whether its campaign tags survive. Find the problems before a customer does.
Check a campaign link
Campaign Link Checker
Paste the complete finished link, including its campaign tags. The report checks the URL journey; it does not verify your analytics installation.
02 / Follow the link
Enter a URL to inspect its destination and tracking.
Make it useful
Not every redirect is a problem. Focus on whether the visitor reaches the intended page and whether the information you need arrives with them.
Fix before launch
Correct the source URL or destination. A page that loads successfully can still be the wrong page for your campaign.
Investigate
Compare the original link with each hop. If a redirect removes the tags before the final page, review that redirect and recheck the finished URL.
Confirm in a browser
Open the link on desktop and mobile. Check the offer, consent experience and next action, then verify measurement separately.
A worked example
Illustrative redirect journey. The destination loads, but the campaign labels have disappeared. This is an explanation, not a live test result.
01 / Campaign link
/spring-sale?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=springThe link identifies the placement and campaign.
02 / Redirect
/spring-sale → /offersThe old campaign route sends visitors to a new page.
03 / Destination
/offersNo campaign parameters remain in this example. Review how the redirect forwards them.
The decision: review the redirect, then check the corrected campaign link again.
Before you move on
Use the final link from the email, ad or document. Wrappers and copied links can differ from your original draft.
Check distinct destinations and tagging patterns. Recheck when an offer moves or a redirect changes.
Note the placement, issue and corrected URL. Retest before sending traffic to it.
Your questions
No. A reachable URL is only one part of the journey. Analytics configuration, consent and campaign reporting need separate verification.
Some destinations block automated requests, require a login or rely on browser behaviour. Treat a blocked or incomplete result as a reason to inspect the link manually, not proof that the page is broken.
Use public campaign URLs. Avoid password-reset links, personal access tokens and URLs containing customer information. A request to a destination can appear in that destination’s logs.
No. It reports the journey it can inspect. Correct the source link or redirect in the system that owns it, then check the finished URL again.
Check the finished version as well as the original. Email platforms, advertising systems and link wrappers can introduce changes after the draft link was created.
If the links work but the reporting still does not add up, we can review campaign tagging, landing pages and the path from click to enquiry.
